AVP-Consumer Protection

YOUR MISSIONS

• Overlook the development and execution of the bank’s consumer protection strategy, ensuring compliance with UAE Central Bank Consumer Protection Standards and Regulations.
• Monitor and evaluate the bank’s products, services, and processes in line with the CPR to ensure that the best practices in consumer rights protection are implemented and that they meet the highest standards of fairness, transparency, and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct testing for various departments within the bank with regards to applicable CBUAE regulations and Consumer Protection Regulations & Standards.
• Show strong commitment to enhancing customer experience and advocating for consumer rights.
• Identify and mitigate consumer protection risks. Prepare and submit regular reports on consumer protection activities to senior management and regulatory authorities.
• Maintain detailed records of all consumer protection activities, including complaints, resolutions, and policy updates.
• Work closely with the Product Development and Customer Service teams to ensure products and services meet consumer protection standards.
• Provide training to bank employees on consumer protection policies and procedures.

YOUR BACKGROUND

• You have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or consumer protection roles within the banking or financial services sector, including leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a team.
• You possess an in-depth knowledge of UAE Central Bank regulations and consumer protection regulations and standards.

• You have a proven ability to understand and implement regulatory requirements.
• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills to successfully interact, encourage, and influence at all organizational levels, including senior leadership teams.
• You possess strong execution skills with attention to detail and focus on clear, realistic action steps and timelines.
• You are able to handle multiple initiatives and prioritize work to meet deadlines and fulfil the demands of a rapidly changing environment.
