Job Description

Job Purpose

Responsible for all Mechanical Quality inspections, carrying out the construction activities with approved quality documents and drawings.

Responsible for the preparation of all types of WPS, PQR, and WQT as per organization and project requirements. Maintain welders' records and update all welding work-related logs.

Reporting all site activities on a weekly and monthly basis to Lead QA/QC.

Job Responsibilities

• Implement Project Quality Plan requirements and comply with client quality requirements.
• Develop and implement inspection and test plans for the project activities.
• Prepare mechanical works related Method Statements and follow up on the implementation at site works.
• Carry out quality control inspections as per approved ITP with associated check sheets.
• Maintain quality documents compliance to ISO 9001 standard requirements.
• Forecast inspection requirements and available resources prior to starting the inspection activity.
• Raise RFI to the client for quality inspection on project activity.
• Report non-conformity of products and services to the quality manager.
• Monitor the implementation of corrective and preventive measures on products and services to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
• Prepare all types of welding (SMAW, GMAW & GTAW) WPS, PQR, WQT, and preparation of quality procedures and method statements.
• Prepare Brazing BPS, BPQR, BQT as per ASME Section IX.
• Conduct Welder’s Qualification Tests as per ASME Section IX, API 1104, etc.
• Ensure and maintain the calibration of all welding and site equipment, update the log on a regular basis, and share with the end user.
• Check weld joint preparation, fit-up, alignment & dimensions as per the drawings and project requirements.
• Liaise with the construction team on quality compliance requirements.
• Ensure the responsibilities inspection checkpoints are fulfilled as per approved ITP.
• Maintain quality documents and submit dossier to the client prior to project completion.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (B. Tech in Electronic and Instrumentation) OR Bachelor's degree (B. Tech in Electrical and Instrumentation).

Additional Information

Well knowledge of QMS, good communication skills, E&I inspection skills, customer focus, and good knowledge in MS Office.

Ability to work in multitask disciplines.

Previously approved by ADNOC for onshore and offshore jobs.
