Associate Professor Positions

Description:

Khalifa University and the College of Computing and Mathematical Sciences seek applicants for several faculty positions at the Associate Professor level in the Department of Computer and Information Engineering. We seek applicants who will strengthen our research and education programs in core and emerging areas of computer and information engineering including but not limited to

1. Networking.

2. Robotics.

3. Digital design and FPGA prototyping.

4. Neuromorphic computing and hardware accelerators for AI.

5. Quantum computing.

Preferential consideration will be given to applicants with academic experience at the Assistant Professor level and with strong portfolio in research teaching and service.

Required Qualifications:

1. Ph.D. in Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
2. Record of excellence in research that is commensurate with the applicants academic career history.
3. Record of excellence in teaching as appropriate to the applicants academic experience.

4. Record of successful graduate student supervision.

5. Record of success in securing and managing funded research projects.

Additional Qualifications:

1. Outstanding publication record in top journals and conferences in the applicants areas of research interests.
2. Outstanding communication skills a collaborative mindset and commitment to a career of academic excellence and innovation.
3. Demonstrated commitment to curriculum development and innovation in university education.
4. Demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship and technology transfer.

3. Research statement including a concise future research plan over the next 3 to 5 years (maximum 2 pages).

4. Teaching statement including a concise curriculum teaching and development plan at the undergraduate and graduate levels (maximum 2 pages).
