Laundry Supervisor In Charge at InterContinental Dubai Marina Hotel & Residences

InterContinental Dubai Marina is a Five Star luxury hotel in the heart of Dubai Marina featuring 328 rooms and residence suites, flexible event spaces, and a variety of restaurants & bars.

Responsibilities

• Hands‑on position where shift may be required to be run by the supervisor.
• Order uniforms and oversee uniform room.
• Communicate directly with commercial laundry and uniform suppliers.
• Oversee valet pickup and return.
• Interact professionally with guests.
• Operate all laundry machines, including dry cleaning and sports removal, to the highest standards.
• Identify stains and determine appropriate removal techniques.
• Be competent to run a shift alone when required.
• Receive laundry from commercial laundry and count items.
• Assist with linen inventories.
• Supervise and coordinate all laundry operations: washing, drying, pressing, folding, sorting, and distribution of linens, uniforms, and guest laundry.
• Prepare purchase requisitions and coordinate ordering of laundry supplies.
• Ensure all hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and guest garments are processed according to established luxury hotel standards.
• Monitor workflow to ensure timely completion of laundry requirements.
• Maintain proper inventory levels of linens, uniforms, and laundry supplies.
• Ensure accurate collection, tracking, and delivery of guest laundry within established service timelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3‑4 years of experience in a supervisory or in‑charge role within luxury hotel laundry operations.
• Strong knowledge of hotel operations and guest service standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Positive attitude, attention to detail, and genuine passion for hospitality.
