Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Materials Engineer to join our team for an Infrastructure Project in Abu Dhabi, UAE .

Job Description

• Monitor and supervise material-related activities on the project.
• Review and approve material submittals, technical data sheets, samples, and certificates.
• Ensure materials comply with approved project specifications, standards, and contract requirements.
• Review laboratory and field test results and verify compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor material testing, sampling, and inspection activities.
• Coordinate with the Contractor, laboratories, suppliers, and site supervision team regarding material-related issues.
• Inspect delivered materials and verify compliance with approved submittals.
• Maintain proper records of material approvals, testing, inspections, and non-conformances.
• Identify and report any unsuitable or non-compliant materials and follow up on corrective actions.
• Provide technical support to the Resident Engineer and QA/QC team on material-related matters.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in infrastructure, roads, and civil construction projects .
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, testing procedures, and applicable standards.
• Experience in reviewing material submittals and laboratory/field test results.
• Good knowledge of QA/QC procedures and project specifications.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• UAE/GCC project experience is preferred
