Inspector - Civil

Job Description

Overview

The Civil Inspector will be responsible for monitoring and inspecting transportation and infrastructure construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and coordination with engineers and contractors.

Your role

• Inspect construction sites, materials, and workmanship to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor drainage systems, pavements, and structural components during execution.
• Verify alignment, levels, and dimensions against engineering plans.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards on-site.
• Prepare inspection reports, checklists, and documentation for project records.
• Identify non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, and contractors to resolve technical issues.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and compliance.
• Assist in reviewing construction schedules and ensuring timely completion of works.
• Report findings to project managers and provide technical support during execution.

About you

• Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in transportation and infrastructure construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction standards, codes, and quality control procedures.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other civil engineering software.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and site management practices.
• Effective time management to handle multiple inspections and deadlines.
