Shipping Officer
Full-time
A reputable company is hiring a Shipping Officer to manage and coordinate shipping activities, documentation, shipment tracking, and communication with customers, suppliers, freight forwarders, and transport providers.
Responsibilities
Coordinate daily import and export shipping activities.
Prepare and verify shipping documents, invoices, packing lists, and delivery documents.
Track shipments and provide timely status updates.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs agents, and transport companies.
Arrange deliveries and ensure shipments reach their destinations on schedule.
Check shipment details, quantities, and documentation for accuracy.
Follow up on delayed, damaged, or missing shipments.
Maintain organized records of all shipping transactions.
Assist with customs clearance and related documentation.
Resolve routine shipping and delivery issues.
Prepare shipping reports and provide updates to management.
Ensure all shipping activities follow company procedures and applicable requirements.
Requirements
Previous experience in shipping, logistics, freight, or a related field.
Good knowledge of shipping and transportation procedures.
Familiarity with import/export documentation is an advantage.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Basic MS Office and computer skills.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
