Location: Pueblo, CO Rate: $19.00/HR Available Schedule: Mon & Tues:12PM - 8:15PM At Securitas, on-site Security Officers are the foundation of our organization. What Your Day May Look Like
- Greet customers and client employees.
- Ask valued customers for receipts when prompted by client and/or Asset Protection.
- Conduct internal foot patrols to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, blocked ingress and egress, mechanical problems, unauthorized persons, inspects grounds using appropriate equipment and protective gear.
- Monitor entrance / exits, and customers, provides guidance as needed and assists Asset Protection with information gathering.
- Complete daily activity, incident reports and logs via client system.
- Provide an atmosphere in which all customers, client employee's and management know their needs are being met.
- Present a good image to the client, client employee's and customers.
- Operate in a calm manner and direct persons who cause disruption to leave property.
- Protect evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations; sets up barriers and signage, and provides direction or information to others.
- Observe and report incidents or suspicious activity to client representatives, company management, or public safety authorities as appropriate for the circumstances and/or as required by the site.
- Act to ensure that all property removal is conducted within appropriate policy requirements and in accord with client standards.
- Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

- 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or GED Required.
- Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.
- Must be able to conduct patrols throughout shift.
- Must have great attention to detail and have the ability to remain vigilant throughout shift.
- Must have the ability to stand on feet for prolonged periods.
- Must understand the nature of customer service and interactions with the public.
- Must have Swing shift availability.
- Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
- Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus.
- Must be able to interact with and greet customers in a positive manner, while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Intermediate computer/technology skills needed to ensure completion of daily activity reports, and logs via handheld devices, and computers, camera monitoring, and reporting alarms.
- Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills to assist customers, vendors, drivers, general public, co-workers, Asset Protection, and Office Management.
- Must be open to communication and feedback from client employees and Office Management.
- Must be able to stand for majority of shift, take 15-minute breaks, and adhere to lunch period.
- Must be able to respond to emergencies, with rapid and effective judgment, and use appropriate escalation and force if required.
- Must be able to work in a team environment to ensure site/organizational goals are achieved daily.
- Mut be able to work in a fast-paced environment, remain organized and professional, and check customer receipts.
- Must be able to learn and adhere to security operations.
- Must provide high quality customer service in-person, over the phone, and via radio.
- Must have a personal vehicle, Colorado Driver's License, and a clean driving record.
- Must be able to obtain Pueblo Guard Card license and maintain it every year.
- Must be able to attend in-person interview, and in-person orientation if hired in Colorado Springs.
- Security, military, or law enforcement experience a plus!
