IT Support Engineer

Zapegg Tax Consultant is looking for a skilled and service-oriented IT Support Engineer to maintain its computer systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure the smooth functioning of office technology in Dubai. Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line and second-line technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and other office equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve problems related to operating systems, applications, email, and computer performance.
• Set up and maintain user accounts, access permissions, passwords, and employee workstations.
• Troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, and basic network configuration issues.
• Install, update, and maintain operating systems, business applications, antivirus software, and security tools.
• Support Microsoft Office applications, email platforms, and other software used for daily office operations.
• Assist with the maintenance of accounting software, tax-related applications, and document management systems.
• Monitor system performance and identify technical issues that may affect business operations.
• Perform routine system maintenance, software updates, and basic preventive maintenance.
• Assist with data backup procedures and support data recovery when necessary.
• Implement IT security practices, including antivirus protection, access control, and secure password management.
• Maintain records of IT assets, software licences, equipment assignments, and technical support requests.
• Coordinate with external IT service providers and vendors for repairs, upgrades, and specialized technical support.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience as an IT Support Engineer, IT Support Technician, Desktop Support Engineer, or in a similar role is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software installation, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, and switches.
• Knowledge of user account management, access permissions, and IT security practices.
• Familiarity with antivirus software, system updates, and data backup procedures.
• Experience with printers, scanners, and other office IT equipment.
