PMD Manager (Tobacco) Precision Recruitment International

Our client in the United Arab Emirates is looking for a PMD Manager to join their team for a job vacancy within the tobacco industry.

• Ensure that the plant is maintained in a safe working condition, and the staff working in the department always adhere to safe working standards.
• Ensure that proper housekeeping regime is followed, and the plant is clean and safe for operation.
• Prepare daily production plan, ensure accurate implementation of the plan, and make sure that the daily targets are achieved.
• Ensure quality standards and compliances are maintained at optimal levels
• Ensure overall tobacco waste is monitored and recorded on daily basis
• Ensure the required production is manufactured in the required time, within the required specifications and at the lowest cost, thus ensuring the utilization of all resources to the optimum.
• Communicate with external/ internal customers on their requirements well in advance to ensure CRT availability.
• Liaise with Transport manager to plan on time deliveries.
• Ensure that the employees in the department follow the rules and regulations put down by management.
• Cascade deliberations / decisions from management meetings to the department staff.
• Arrange for critical machine spares parts to be always available in store and find workaround ideas to keep factory running during spares sourcing.
• Ensure there is a SMART monthly maintenance schedule for all electrical and mechanical tasks.
• Technical lead for the department ensuring machine issues are addressed correctly and timely.
• Compare performance results with established standards, identifying deviations, trends or abnormal changes, and their causes.
