Full Stack Developer @ ESM Dubai

ESM is looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to join our team in Dubai, UAE . This role is responsible for designing, building, and scaling modern web applications while delivering secure, cloud-based, high-performance solutions. The successful candidate will support development initiatives, contribute to technical decisions, and work closely with stakeholders to deliver scalable and innovative software solutions.

You will play a key role in leveraging AI-assisted development tools and integrating Generative AI solutions to enhance productivity, automate workflows, and deliver intelligent software solutions that support business objectives.

Key Objectives

• Lead the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from requirement gathering to deployment and ongoing support.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and cloud-ready architectures that ensure performance and reliability.
• Develop responsive, dynamic, and visually engaging applications (front-end and back-end), ensuring an optimal user experience.
• Develop and maintain robust back-end services and APIs for seamless integrations.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, design patterns, and AI-assisted development practices across the development team.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps processes.
• Conduct code reviews, testing strategies, and performance audits to maintain high-quality software.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, Claude) to improve development productivity, code quality, and delivery efficiency.
• Design, develop, and integrate AI-powered capabilities using Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI APIs, and intelligent automation where they deliver measurable business value.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and industry trends, recommending and implementing solutions that enhance business processes and software capabilities.
• Ensure responsible AI adoption by implementing security, privacy, governance, compliance, and prompt engineering best practices.
• Collaborate closely with managers, designers, and stakeholders to align technology solutions with business goals.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers, fostering continuous learning, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
• Stay ahead of emerging technologies, frameworks, and AI advancements, evaluating and introducing improvements where beneficial.
• Contribute to strategic planning, technical roadmaps, and innovation initiatives for scalable, future-ready software solutions.

Set of Required Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• Relevant professional certifications (Cloud, DevOps, Architecture, etc.)

Desired Experience

• 6+ years of professional full stack development experience (with at least 2 years in a senior/lead role)
• Strong expertise in front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, Angular, Vue)
• Advanced experience with back-end technologies (PHP with Laravel, Node.js, Express.js, or equivalent)
• Solid database design and optimization experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis)
• Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and server management
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong background in API design, integration, and microservices architecture
• Experience with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to improve software development productivity and code quality
• Experience integrating Generative AI services (e.g., OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic APIs, or equivalent AI platforms) into enterprise applications
• Familiarity with AI application development concepts, including prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, AI orchestration frameworks, and Model Context Protocol (MCP), is an advantage
• Prior experience leading teams, mentoring developers, and conducting code reviews

AI & Modern Development Experience

• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar
• Experience integrating AI services including OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google Gemini APIs
• Understanding of prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Experience building AI-powered chatbots, assistants, document search, or workflow automation solutions is highly desirable
• Familiarity with AI model deployment, monitoring, and cost optimization

Job-Specific Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent problem-solving and architectural design skills
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, PHP, Node.js, and SQL/NoSQL query languages
• Strong understanding of AI-assisted software development best practices and their application throughout the software development lifecycle
• Ability to evaluate, integrate, and optimize Generative AI solutions within enterprise applications
• Familiarity with AI development frameworks and SDKs such as LangChain, Semantic Kernel, Vercel AI SDK, or equivalent
• Knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP), AI agent architectures, prompt engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts is an advantage
• Understanding of AI security, governance, data privacy, model limitations, and responsible AI development practices
• Understanding of UI/UX principles and the ability to guide design improvements
• Hands-on experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of security protocols, authentication, and data protection
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, Git)
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
