Driver

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Driver to join our dynamic manufacturing operations team. As a Driver you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and safe transportation of raw materials finished goods and equipment across our production facilities and distribution networks. This position is essential to maintaining uninterrupted production schedules meeting customer delivery commitments and supporting overall supply chain efficiency. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety reliability and operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities:

• Safely operate delivery and transport vehicles (including trucks forklifts and material handlers) to deliver raw materials components and finished products to internal and external locations.
  
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and report any mechanical issues promptly.
  
• Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment ensuring proper handling stacking and securing of materials to prevent damage.
  
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries routes fuel consumption and maintenance logs using digital or manual systems.
  
• Adhere strictly to all local state and federal transportation regulations including hours-of-service rules and hazardous materials handling protocols.
  
• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff logistics coordinators and production teams to coordinate pickup and delivery schedules.
  
• Respond promptly to schedule changes emergencies or delays ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  
• Uphold the highest standards of safety cleanliness and professionalism at all times while representing the company in the field.
  

Requirements

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training in transportation or logistics is a plus.
  
• Valid commercial drivers license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (e.g. Class B or C depending on vehicle type).
  
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a commercial driver in a manufacturing logistics or distribution environment.
  
• Proven track record of safe driving with a clean driving record and no major violations.
  
• Familiarity with material handling equipment (e.g. forklifts pallet jacks) and warehouse operations.
  
• Strong attention to detail time management and organizational skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
  
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. stand for extended periods and work in varying weather conditions.
  
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends overtime and shift rotations as needed.
  
• Knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations related to transportation and cargo safety.
