Videographer

The American University in the Emirates (AUE) is seeking a talented and creative Videographer to capture, produce, and edit compelling video content that showcases the University's identity, academic excellence, campus life, events, and achievements. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in video production, post-production, and digital content creation, with a strong portfolio demonstrating creativity and technical expertise.

This role requires close collaboration with the Marketing Department and other stakeholders to develop engaging visual content that supports AUE's branding, recruitment, student engagement, institutional advancement, and fundraising initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, film, and edit video content in accordance with project briefs and event schedules.
• Operate and maintain all video production equipment, ensuring optimal performance and quality.
• Deliver high-quality video content within established timelines and project requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop concepts, storyboards, shot lists, and production plans.
• Operate DSLR and digital cinema cameras, lighting systems, and audio equipment to produce professional-quality content.
• Conduct on-site video shoots while ensuring excellent framing, lighting, composition, and sound quality.
• Edit video footage and incorporate graphics, animations, text overlays, transitions, and visual effects where appropriate.
• Manage and maintain an organized archive of video assets and media files.
• Coordinate with the Social Media team to ensure content aligns with digital marketing strategies and publishing schedules.
• Ensure all video content adheres to AUE's branding guidelines and institutional standards.
• Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in videography and digital media production.
• Provide video coverage for major university events, including conferences, graduations, ceremonies, academic activities, and community initiatives.
• Support advancement and fundraising campaigns by producing engaging visual content aimed at donor engagement and outreach.
• Contribute to storytelling initiatives that strengthen relationships with current and prospective donors.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or University management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Media Production, Film Studies, Multimedia, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2–4 years of professional experience in videography, video editing, and post-production.
• Strong professional portfolio demonstrating creative storytelling and high-quality video production.

Skills and Competencies

• Advanced proficiency in video editing software, including:
  • Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Final Cut Pro
  • DaVinci Resolve
• Strong knowledge of DSLR and digital cinema cameras, lighting techniques, and audio recording equipment.
• Experience with audio editing and post-production workflows.
• Excellent storytelling, visual composition, and creative content development skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Effective time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Up-to-date knowledge of social media video formats and current digital content trends.
• Fluency in English and Filipino is required.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
