Site Engineer Fire Fighting (Mechanical)
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the installation testing and commissioning of firefighting systems (sprinklers hydrants hose reels fire pumps FM200 CO₂ and other suppression systems).
- Review drawings specifications and method statements to ensure work execution aligns with approved documents.
- Coordinate with consultants clients and main contractors for inspections approvals and site progress.
- Prepare and submit material inspection requests (MIR) work inspection requests (WIR) and daily progress reports.
- Ensure materials and equipment comply with approved submittals and standards (NFPA / Civil Defense).
- Supervise subcontractors and manpower to ensure timely and quality installation.
- Assist in preparation of as-built drawings and documentation for project handover.
- Ensure compliance with all Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) regulations on-site.
- Attend site coordination meetings and resolve technical or site-related issues.
- Support in hydrostatic testing pump room commissioning and final system approvals from Civil Defense.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering .
- 38 years of experience in MEP or Fire Fighting system installation in building or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA standards UAE Civil Defense codes and Fire Protection System design & installation .
- Familiar with AutoCAD MS Office and construction site documentation.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills.
