Description:

An industrial company in Jubail is looking for a qualified and experienced Senior General Accountant to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with Saudi accounting and taxation regulations. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing financial reports and supporting the organization’s financial controls.

The position requires strong expertise in IFRS, SOCPA requirements, financial reporting, tax compliance, and ERP systems. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of coordinating with auditors while ensuring timely completion of monthly and annual financial closing activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage general accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.

• Prepare journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and financial statements.

• Perform monthly and annual financial closing activities.

• Prepare VAT returns and support Zakat and tax filings.

• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

• Review payroll entries and reconcile employee-related financial transactions.

• Coordinate with external auditors and prepare audit documentation.

• Support Local Content Certificate requirements by preparing relevant financial documentation.

• Maintain financial reports and accounting records using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent qualification.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the industrial or manufacturing sector.

• SOCPA membership is required.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and accounting standards applicable in Saudi Arabia.

• Experience preparing journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and financial statements.

• Proficiency in monthly and annual financial closing procedures.

• Strong knowledge of ZATCA requirements, VAT, Zakat, and electronic invoicing.

• Experience preparing VAT returns and supporting Zakat and tax filings.

• Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

• Ability to review payroll entries and reconcile employee-related financial transactions.

• Experience coordinating with external auditors and preparing audit documentation.

• Familiarity with Local Content Certificate requirements and supporting financial documentation.

• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

• Strong analytical, financial reporting, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

• Strong knowledge of:

• Microsoft Excel.
