Architectural Project Engineer

We are looking for an Architectural Project Engineer to join our project team. You will be responsible for managing technical submittals, coordinating complex architectural, structural, and MEP interfaces, reviewing shop drawings, and resolving on-site design discrepancies. Your primary objective is to streamline the engineering phase so that the site execution team can deliver flawless architectural finishes on schedule while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to ensure design compatibility and constructability.
• Prepare, review, and manage technical submittals, RFIs, material approvals, and method statements.
• Review and coordinate shop drawings before construction activities commence.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
• Identify and resolve design conflicts between architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
• Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Support the site team by providing technical guidance during project execution.
• Monitor project progress and ensure engineering deliverables are completed according to schedule.
• Coordinate material approvals and ensure timely procurement of architectural finishes.
• Participate in project meetings and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, authority regulations, project specifications, and HSE requirements.
• Assist in snagging, de-snagging, testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
• Prepare technical reports, engineering documentation, and progress updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8–12 years of relevant experience in architectural engineering and construction.
• Minimum 4 years of UAE experience in a similar role is a must.
• Strong knowledge of architectural detailing, construction methodologies, interior fit-out, façade systems, and finishing works.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams on large-scale construction projects.
• Thorough understanding of UAE building regulations, authority approvals, and construction standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, and project management software. Experience with BIM and Navisworks is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
