About the Role:

GHD is seeking a highly skilled and experienced BIM Manager to join our team in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Building Information Modeling (BIM) function on various projects ensuring the effective implementation of BIM standards and workflows. This role requires a strong understanding of digital solutions project planning and design coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

Project planning and setup

• Setup the project folder structure and standards in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
• Establish Model Federation Strategy.
• Prepare Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP).
• Prepare BIM Plan (BEP).
• Setup the federated structure of linked Revit models in ACC with Coordinates Grids Levels etc.
• Train the Project Team in implementation of the BEP requirements and ACC workflows.

Information (design) production

• Manage the project ACC (project Members Permissions Issues Reviews Workflows etc..
• Participate in identifying design issues in Revit 2D and 3D views and raise them as Issues in ACC.
• Support the Project Team in implementation of the BEP requirements and ACC workflows.
• Manage software and hardware issues (quality quantity fitness for purpose support requests).

Information (design) review and approval

• Federate shared models from Discipline Teams using ACC and Navisworks.
• Conduct clash analysis identify issues causing clashes and raise them as Issues in ACC.
• Identify design issues to be reported during Design Coordination Meeting.
• Facilitate internal Design Coordination Meetings.
• Participate in / facilitate Design Coordination Meetings with the Client.
• Manage timely resolution of design Issues in ACC produce reports provide technical support etc.
• Verify and approve the quality of Revit and Navisworks models for Interim Submission to the Client.
• Verify and approve the quality of Revit and Navisworks models for Milestone Submission

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in a construction field like Architecture Structure Building Services or similar.
• Experience in preparing and managing Master Information Delivery Plans (MIDPs).
• Experience in preparing model federation strategies for construction projects.
• Extensive experience in preparing BIM Plans (BEPs).
• Handson experience in configuring and using design authoring tools like Revit and Civil 3D.
• Handson experience in configuring and using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
• Handson experience in configuring using Navisworks for multidisciplinary design coordination and clash analysis.
• Handson experience in using at least one design / model quality checking tool like Autodesk Model Checker Solibri or Revizto.
• Knowledge of strategies for managing design issues (incl. clashes) in construction projects.
• Experience in executing strategies for managing design issues (incl. clashes) using digital tools like ACC Navisworks etc.
• Experience in using tools for automating design and information management like Dynamo Grasshopper etc.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) backed by experience in managing BIM for multidisciplinary design teams and complex construction projects.
• Strong mentoring skills and experience in training project teams in BIM methodology and abovementioned digital tools including preparation of training materials.
• Excellent understanding of general design principals in construction projects.
• Excellent problemsolving skills especially for troubleshooting of software issues.
• Ability to become a Registered Architect / Engineer in the UAE.
