Job Summary:
We are looking for a diligent and eager-to-learn Motorcycle Mechanic Helper to assist our team of experienced mechanics in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will support various repair and maintenance tasks, gaining hands-on experience in motorcycle mechanics with a focus on Chinese brand bikes.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting Mechanics:
- Support mechanics in diagnosing and repairing motorcycles, including tasks such as disassembling and reassembling parts, holding tools, and providing general assistance during repairs.
- Assist in routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire replacements, and brake checks.
- Tools and Equipment:
- Prepare and organize tools and parts required for repairs.
- Clean and maintain workshop tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Workshop Maintenance:
- Keep the workshop clean, organized, and safe, ensuring that all hazardous materials are handled properly.
- Dispose of waste materials according to safety and environmental guidelines.
- Inventory Management:
- Assist in tracking inventory levels of parts and supplies.
- Help in ordering and restocking parts as needed.
- Customer Interaction:
- Support customer service by moving motorcycles within the workshop or to the customer pick-up area.
- Occasionally assist with explaining basic maintenance tips to customers under the supervision of a senior mechanic.
- Learning and Development:
- Learn and develop mechanical skills under the guidance of experienced mechanics.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to improve technical knowledge and skills.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience:
- Previous experience in a workshop environment is a plus but not mandatory. Willingness to learn is essential.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Basic understanding of motorcycle mechanics is an advantage.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various positions.
- Skills:
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of using hand and power tools.
- Language:
- Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus.
