As a Commis 1 you will work under the guidance of the Senior Pastry Chef to create high-quality desserts pastries and bread items that delight guests. You will play a vital role in the daily operations of the pastry and bakery section ensuring that all products are prepared to the highest standards presented beautifully and taste exceptional.

Your responsibilities will include assisting with the preparation of pastries cakes and specialty breads ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards maintaining cleanliness and organization of the pastry section and contributing to the innovation of new menu items in conjunction with the senior chefs.

• At least 2 years of experience as a Commis 1 or similar role in a luxury hotel resort or high-end bakery
• Strong knowledge of pastry and bakery techniques with a focus on quality and presentation
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and creatively contribute to menu development
• Excellent organizational skills capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
• Good communication skills and a team player mentality
• A culinary diploma or degree in pastry arts or a related field is preferred
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
