About The Role:

The Assistant General Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining excellent guest service. The position is responsible for managing all areas of full service within the restaurant including training and retaining excellent staff, delivering outstanding hospitality, food cost, labor cost, shared P&L responsibility, running shifts, teaching and learning, safety and cleanliness, while adhering to all company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive service excellence and guest satisfaction daily
• Develop a guest database to increase returning guests
• Ensure all guest feedback is compiled and discussed with action plan for continual improvement
• Perform as a leader in your outlet, delegating and coaching your management team towards achieving deadlines and delivering results
• Guide the team in relation to upselling and provide regular feedback against targets and KPIs
• Recruitment of the team, liaise with HR and ensure the right candidates are selected, profiles of candidates to be put together as per standards
• Be fully aware of the restaurant order of service and standards, and provide support to the team with service to ensure the guest’s needs are understood and fulfilled
• Be an excellent brand ambassador, ensure the standards of Atlantis Dubai are maintained
• Take ownership of the short, mid, and long term development of the business, its standards, team development and marketing
• Build strong and positive professional relationships in the workplace ensuring your outlet interacts with others in a positive, professional and solution focused manner

About You

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role in a fine dining restaurant with direct P&L responsibilities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and be able to interface effectively with all levels of management
• Ability to effectively influence through knowledge, relationship management, and trust
• Proven ability to effectively manage conflict and ensure successful outcomes, work under pressure and deal with high stress situations while exercising sound judgment and decision making
