We are looking for experienced and hardworking Public Area Attendants to join a hotel in Malta. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation of all public areas, ensuring a clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain all hotel public areas, including:
- Lobby
- Corridors
- Elevators
- Restrooms
- Reception areas
- Guest facilities
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors, furniture, and other surfaces.
- Replenish restroom supplies and ensure facilities are clean and fully stocked.
- Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste according to hotel procedures.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
- Follow hotel health, safety, hygiene, and cleaning standards at all times.
- Assist the housekeeping team with additional cleaning duties when required.
- Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are used and stored correctly.
- Maintain a professional and friendly attitude when interacting with hotel guests.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience , ideally in a 4- or 5-star hotel .
- Previous experience in housekeeping, public-area cleaning, or a similar cleaning role.
- Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual cleaning tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic English communication skills.
- Flexible to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- The shift starts at 5:00 AM .
- Candidates living close to the property or with reliable transportation for the early start are preferred.
Mandatory Requirement
- Pre-departure course is mandatory.
