HVAC Duct Cleaning Technician

This role is engaged on a commercial HVAC Duct & Equipment Cleaning project covering complete mechanical and automated cleaning of Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Coil Units (FCUs), grills and diffusers. The Certified HVAC Duct Cleaning Technician performs hands‑on mechanical and automated duct cleaning using Roto‑Brush equipment, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards, including operations at height and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete mechanical and automated cleaning of HVAC ductwork, AHUs, FCUs, grills, and diffusers.
• Operate industrial Roto-Brush machines, including standard and extended whip runs, in line with manufacturer and site procedures.
• Set up and operate containment vacuum systems to control dust and debris during cleaning operations.
• Inspect duct systems and equipment before and after cleaning to verify work quality and identify defects or damage.
• Safely access elevated ductwork and equipment rooms in compliance with Work at Heights procedures.
• Enter and work within confined spaces (ducts, plenums, AHU chambers) following Confined Space Entry protocols.
• Follow all site‑specific Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures and permit‑to‑work systems.
• Report progress, defects, and safety observations to the Working Foreman.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report faults promptly.
• Support the Foreman and Skilled Helpers to ensure daily production targets are met.

Experience Required

• Minimum 4–5 years of specialized, high‑tier commercial HVAC duct and equipment cleaning experience.
• Demonstrated hands‑on experience operating Roto‑Brush or equivalent mechanical duct cleaning systems.
