Job Description: As a Tax Consultant at Kurum Group of Companies, your primary responsibility will be to provide expert guidance on tax matters (Freezone and Main Land) and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations. You will play a crucial role in optimizing our tax strategy while minimizing tax liabilities. Your duties will include:
1. Tax Planning: Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimize the organization's tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with UAE tax laws.
2. Tax Compliance: Stay up-to-date with UAE tax regulations, advise on any changes that may affect the company, and ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns.
3. Client Consultation: Provide tax advice and guidance to clients within the organization, addressing their tax-related queries and concerns.
4. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities and risks, and provide recommendations to senior management.
5. Tax Reporting: Prepare and submit tax reports, statements, and declarations as required by UAE tax authorities.
6. Audits and Investigations: Represent the company during tax audits and investigations, ensuring all necessary documentation is available and accurate.
7. Tax Research: Stay current with tax laws, rulings, and interpretations to provide accurate and timely advice to the organization.
8. Tax Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement tax-efficient strategies for business operations, investments, and transactions.
9. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance, legal, and other departments to ensure tax considerations are integrated into overall business decisions.
10. Client Education: Educate clients and internal teams on tax implications and strategies, promoting tax compliance and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CTA) is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Tax Consultant or similar role in the UAE.
- In-depth knowledge of UAE tax laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
