Senior MEA Project Finance Counsel - Energy & Projects

Fford & Stone is partnering with a well-known energy projects business developing wind, solar and marine energy facilities plus energy storage internationally.

This company is seeking to appoint a newLegal Counselto their MEA operation.

Reporting to the GC, the role holder will be the go-to person for Project Finance and associated legal affairs .

It is therefore essential applicants have proven experience in this area.

In addition, the Legal Counsel will be responsible for day to day operational matters across the region in conjunction with the SLT, enjoying a broad remit and the opportunity to get involved with commercial legal affairs, corporate affairs, regs, competition etc.

For consideration your profile must fit the following criteria:

• Qualified lawyer (local or foreign) with common law background.
• Circa 5 PQE.
• 3+ years experience of Project Finance and projects support.
• Current / prior experience of project support in the Middle East.
• MNC background and strong technical skills gained with a reputed law firm.
• Strong business relationship building and interpersonal skills.
• Position will suit a talented, commercially astute lawyer used to operating within a multinational corporate environment.
• Business fluent English, Arabic is an advantage
