Chargehand

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chargehand to join our team in Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates. As a Chargehand you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating maintenance or construction activities ensuring project success through effective leadership and technical expertise.

• Lead and supervise maintenance or construction crews assigning tasks and monitoring progress to meet project deadlines
• Ensure strict compliance with safety standards regulations and company policies
• Conduct regular inspections to maintain quality standards and resolve on-site issues promptly
• Manage and optimize the use of materials tools and equipment to enhance efficiency
• Maintain accurate records and provide detailed reports on project progress to management
• Collaborate with engineers project managers and clients to ensure project requirements are met
• Mentor and train junior staff members fostering a culture of continuous improvement
• Analyze and interpret technical drawings plans and project specifications
• Implement and maintain quality control measures throughout project execution
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project flow

Qualifications :

• Proven experience as a Chargehand or in a similar supervisory role within the construction manufacturing or maintenance industry
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams effectively
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations
• In-depth knowledge of safety practices technical procedures and industry regulations
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings plans and project specifications
• Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders
• Demonstrated expertise in project management including resource allocation and scheduling
• Proficiency in relevant project management tools and software
• Technical certification or diploma in a related field (preferred)
• Thorough understanding of quality control processes and continuous improvement methodologies
• Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing project requirements
• Local work authorization may be required
