PMC Lead Technical Safety HSE Engineer

Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced PMC Technical HSE Lead with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry for ADNOC Offshore client to be based in Abu Dhabi within our Oil, Gas & New Energies business. Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be based at our client office in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and will require occasional travel to Spain.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced PMC Technical HSE Lead with a proven track record in managing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) aspects of a project, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations. They advise senior project management, liaise with partner companies, and oversee HSE programs to achieve project safety objective for a high profile client.

The key objectives for this role are:

• Oversee and manage HSE aspects of the project in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and international standards.
• Develop and implement project‑specific Risk Assessment Management Systems (RAMS) to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Ensure compliance with corporate safety codes, UAE statutes, and international standards.
• Implement HSE best practices from industry standards and project shareholder companies.
