Senior Specialist, Digital Advanced Automations Solutions

JOB PURPOSE:

Generate insights by leveraging the latest Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Analytics techniques to derive value at the overall organization level. Building world-class solutions, conquer business problems, address technical challenges using AI Platforms and technologies.

Utilize the existing frameworks, standards, patterns to create architectural foundation and services necessary for AI applications that scale from multi-user to enterprise-class. Developing and implementing Advanced solutions to support the business stakeholders to have automated business processes and to take informed decisions

Identify and analyse trends and patterns in Artificial Intelligence tools to be used for diagnosis and prediction purpose. Research on existing AI solutions to fit into business requirements and contribute to formulating prototypes for innovative ideas, filing patents and research papers

Develop and manage Advanced Solutions, applications integrations, and machine learning to meet business requirements.

Provides technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new Digital software projects and initiatives to support and enhance existing systems.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Work on functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, and defining support procedures, working with an advanced engineering team and executive leadership.

• Manage solutions development and implementations going through the full Solutions Development Life Cycle phases.

• Supervise necessary applications amendments and responsible for reviewing, analysing, and modifying systems including encoding, testing, debugging, and installing to support application systems.

• Aid and advice to business users in the effective use of applications and information technology.

• Identify opportunities that can improve efficiency of business processes.

• Filter Data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify and correct code problems

• Use statistical tools to identify, analyse, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets that could be helpful for the diagnosis and prediction

• Collaborate with programmers, engineers, and management heads to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies.

• Supervise and support the team to ensure smooth operation of systems and handles/trouble shoots complicated problems raised by users upon escalation by the Digital Help Desk Team or other members of the Solutions team.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse the partner's business and main areas where the application of AI can stimulate business growth.

• Prepare final analysis reports for the stakeholders to understand the data-analysis steps, enabling them to take important decisions based on various facts and trends.

• Document and articulate solution architecture and lessons learned for each exploration and accelerated incubation

• Analyse local, national, and global trends and predictions that impact both the organization and the industry and report to management.

IT Strategic & Tactical Planning

• Coordinate and consult with the business and Digital management to ensure that the Group Digital Advanced Automations solutions strategy components are successfully translated into solutions and services.

• Contribute to the regular review of the Group Digital Strategy at pre-defined intervals to ensure that it reflects the concerned Directorates business requirements and ensures its constant alignment with the Company's short, medium, and long-term business plans.

• Whenever applicable, ensures that the Group Digital Unit strategic goals, strategies and roadmaps are translated into sectional tactical plans and actionable items, in full coordination with other Digital departments and sections.

Group Digital Advanced Automations Solutions Delivery

• Conduct the analysis, scope development, technical evaluations, and prototyping, developing, implementing, and delivering Solutions Delivery Capture business requirements related to the domain.

• Ensure the delivery of the vertical's business requirements and services according to the Company standard and strategies.

• Support the vertical's business users and beyond in line with pre-set SLAs and delivery guidelines.

• Lead the development, implementation, and support of high quality and cost-effective Solutions and services deemed critical to the business operations.

• Ensure that the department meets the appropriate service level agreements established with internal and group users' functions. Also, that the services delivered by the engaged external organizations are delivered within the agreed service levels.

• Ensure that all deployed solutions have followed a comprehensive testing and quality assurance process, quality assurance reviews and have fulfilled the Group Digital Unit services release process requirements.

• Ensure that the enterprise architecture principals, data management and information security standards are applied throughout the solution development and implementation lifecycles.

• Report to the management on the progress of assigned programs and projects against plans, in terms of schedule, resources and cost.

• Ensure that all programs and projects are managed in compliance with the Projects Management Methodology and related standards.

Conduct pre-deployment activities of Advanced Automations Solutions

• Lead feasibility studies, assess business requirements, and assist in designing business processes for small to large systems and implementations. Submit findings and recommendations for review, evaluation, and approval by Digital and Business management. Participate in feasibility studies of Digital Programs undertaken within the unit wherever required.

• Analyse functional requirements including input transactions, output reports, functional processes, etc. and recommends solutions and process improvements for user approval to establish functional specifications.

• Perform impact analysis for new development to ensure synchronization and integration of cross functional business solutions and systems.

• Lead the development of business cases and projects initiation documentations and artifacts.

Evaluate new solutions and services

• Evaluate off-the-shelf packages to ascertain the degree of fitness with existing business processes and recommends appropriate solutions to business requirements.

• Wherever required, develop the required interfaces between various solutions while ensuring systems and data availability, integrity, and service continuity.

• Develop fit-for-purpose and secure software programs. Test them to ensure their fulfilment of business requirements and their compliance with ADNOC Group Digital standards and policies.

• Receive, assess, and prioritize change requests from the existing Digital services owners and users.

Document Group Digital Advanced Automations Solutions

• In coordination with the enterprise and technology architects; prepare solutions design documents, data models, data flow diagrams and other system architecture artifacts.

• Update the solutions documentation throughout the company systems development & support lifecycles in accordance with the Company standards on the subject.

• Archive and keep available all as-build solutions documents and artifacts.

Act as an SME for the future domain specific implementations

• Implement the best practices for all Group Digital Advanced Automations solutions, and services implementations

• Plan and undertake the deployment of the required new software releases.

• Provide the required training and support to users during and after deployment.

Supervision

• Plan, supervise and coordinate all domain activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.

• Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective business objectives.

Budgets

• Provide input for preparation of the Function / Division / Department / Section budgets, assist in the implementation of the approved Budget, and work plans to deliver business objectives.

• Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

• Implement approved Function/ Division/ Department/ Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International standards.

Performance Management

• Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Function/ Division / Department/ Section in line with the Company Performance framework.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

• Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.

• Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best industry standards to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

• Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.

Reports

• Provide inputs to prepare MIS and progress reports for Company Management.

COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal

• Regular contacts with Digital Management Team across ADNOC Group on services delivery, services operations, services governance, and other related matters.

• Frequent contacts with Programs / Projects Managers and Architects on matters related to roadmaps developments and projects and programs delivery.

• Regular contacts with the counterparts in ADNOC Group Companies on Digital Strategy, Planning and Quality Assurance matters.

External

• Frequent contacts with external auditors, local / international vendors, consultants, and Digital professional organizations to facilitate quality and cost-effective service delivery.

• Occasional contacts with counterparts in regional and international oil companies for exchange of information / benchmarking / study visits and other programs.

• Regular contacts with local and international Digital service providers on matters related to Digital services and strategic directions.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

• 10 years of relevant IT experience including at least 6 years in positions of progressively increasing technical and managerial responsibilities in AI and Machine Learning Solutions

• Deep Knowledge of Machine learning, deep learning, NLP, Python, NoSQL, RDBMS,

• Experience in application development, preferably in an oil industry environment.

Professional Certifications

• Certification in Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence (Desired)

• Certification in PMP (Desired)
